Information on electrical and electronic equipment
Dear customer,
As a producer and distributor of electrical and electronic equipment, we hereby inform you in accordance with § 18 of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) of the following:
Separate collection of waste equipment
Electrical and electronic equipment that has become waste is referred to as waste equipment. Owners of waste equipment must collect it separately from unsorted municipal waste. In particular, waste equipment does not belong in household waste but must be disposed of through special collection and return systems.
Meaning of the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol
The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol regularly displayed on electrical and electronic equipment indicates that the device must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of its life.
Options for returning waste equipment
Owners of waste equipment from private households can return it free of charge at:
- Collection points set up by public waste disposal authorities (your local recycling centre)
- Collection points operated by manufacturers or distributors as defined by ElektroG
- Stationary retailers with a sales area of at least 400 square metres for electrical and electronic equipment
Data protection notice
Waste equipment often contains sensitive personal data. This applies in particular to information and telecommunications technology devices such as computers and smartphones. Please note that, for your own protection, every end user is responsible for deleting data from waste equipment to be disposed of.
